Stealth Mango and Tangelo: Surveillance Tools in Targeted Attacks

"Stealth Mango" and "Tangelo" are surveillanceware tools that have been identified as part of targeted cyber campaigns aimed at government officials, diplomats, military personnel, and activists in regions such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, India, and the UAE. These tools are specifically designed to collect sensitive data from Android (Stealth Mango) and iOS (Tangelo) devices.

Discovered by Lookout Security Intelligence, these tools are used by threat actors, possibly associated with the Pakistani military, to spy on and intercept communication from high-level targets. The objective of these campaigns appears to be politically motivated, with the goal of extracting valuable intelligence from individuals involved in sensitive governmental and military activities.

Stealth Mango and Tangelo belong to a category of malicious software designed to secretly monitor and steal personal information. Individuals using Android or iOS devices in the affected regions should be cautious and ensure their devices are properly secured against such threats.
